A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol producing 83 kW and 170 Nm, the latter from 4 000 rpm. It drives the front wheels through either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. Note it is not turbocharged — that's the main mechanical difference between the LiT and the rest of the Tiggo Cross range.
Chery claims 7.0 L/100 km for the manual and 7.3 L/100 km for the CVT. Those are lab figures — Johannesburg stop-start traffic will push both higher, and the CVT tends to close the gap on the open road.
