The L4 arrived at South African dealers in March 2026 as the first Lepas model on sale here. It's a compact SUV aimed squarely at buyers cross-shopping the Chery Tiggo range, Haval Jolion and Nissan Magnite — all of which we also stock, so we're happy to line them up side by side. Its bigger sibling is the Lepas L6.

Lepas L4 pricing starts at R299 900 for the 1.5 Amur manual, R369 900 for the 1.5T Javan DCT, and R469 900 for the 1.5T Pantera Black Badge we currently stock. All three are available at Tembani Sales in Johannesburg.
The Amur uses an 80 kW naturally aspirated 1.5 with a 5-speed manual and 16-inch alloys. The Javan steps up to the 108 kW 1.5 turbo with a 6-speed DCT, a 13.2-inch screen, LED headlamps and wireless charging. The Pantera adds 6 side-curtain airbags, a 540° camera, a sunroof, ADAS and ventilated front seats.
Lepas claims 6.9 L/100 km for the naturally aspirated Amur and 7.0 L/100 km for the turbocharged Javan and Pantera. Real-world figures depend heavily on traffic — Joburg stop-start driving will push both higher.
The L4 carries a 5-year / 150 000 km vehicle warranty, a 10-year / 1 000 000 km engine warranty for the first owner, and a 5-year / 75 000 km service plan.
